I spent the first 15 years of my career working in the music industry, 10 of them promoting and producing shows for House of Blues in Chicago. As a concert promoter, I utilized just about every media channel possible to promote the HOB brand and the artists that we were bringing to Chicago. In 1996 that meant buying TV and radio spots, print ads and flyers. Ten years later that meant buying TV and radio spots, the occasional print ad, creating html email blasts and managing a Facebook and MySpace page. No Twitter or mobile outreach yet. In 2006 I began looking for new products to market and new ways to connect consumers with producers. I moved into the agency world and began consulting. I advised clients like Mercedes-Benz, Rolex, Hyatt, QVC and Sears on emerging digital and experiential marketing strategies. I created campaigns that integrated traditional, interactive and event marketing platforms. In 2008 I was asked to join Computer Sciences Corporation, the fourth largest IT services firm in the world, in a Business Development and Marketing role. I primarily worked with Analysts and Third Party Advisors, positioning CSC as a leader in the ITO space, while developing internal and external marketing communications and program managing new marketing initiatives across the Healthcare, Financial Services and Tech verticals. Recently, I left CSC to focus on my passion for social media and mobile marketing. I founded Revelry Group which provides marketing consulting services that focus on social media, mobile and event marketing. I believe that there are ways to incorporate these three powerful platforms into any traditional marketing campaign. Additionally, Revelry Group provides artist and talent acquisition services for advertisers and corporate planners interested in leveraging artists, speakers and musicians to increase the impact of events and campaigns. In addition to hands on experience marketing with Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Flickr and YouTube, I am recognized by the MMA as a Certified Mobile Marketer.
